Jay Z & Kanye West - Otis

The Stuff That Makes Us Move

With the current state of You Know What taking over the city of Rochester and maybe the rest of the world, it has also influenced the sound of electronic music to take over our speakers. I have been listening to electronic music since before this era and it kind of bugs me a little. Nevertheless I am obsessed with a lot of awesome indie electro-pop bands out there that are not getting much attention. This main stream techno is what everyone listens to but I enjoy more of indie house scene. Check out the following songs and find some more by the bands and you will thank me later.

Tyga - Well Done 2

Tyga is killing in the game right now. If you like his style you will most definitely enjoy this tape right here.

Lil Wayne - Sorry For The Wait

I mean.... I personally think this mixtape is pure garbage but for the sake of Weezy being a Hip Hop Icon it must be posted

The Weeknd XO

Less than two months ago, few of us had ever heard of the Weeknd. Then, as soon as the creepy R&B tracks from his free mixtape (House Of Ballons) began to circulate, the hype engine revved up. What makes this whole thing work in an album context is that all the thematic and sonic pieces fit together-- these weird, morning-after tales of lust, hurt, and over-indulgence are matched by this incredibly lush, downcast music. Even though the image of nightlife painted by the Weeknd isn't a place you'd ever want to live, it's one that's frankly very hard to stop listening to. I Find my self listening to these songs at least once a day, and you probably will be too! Download House Of Balloons Here
